Irwin Allen Ginsberg (Eng. Irwin Allen Ginsberg; June 3, 1926, Newark, New Jersey, USA - April 5, 1997, New York, USA) - American prose writer, journalist and poet of the second half of the 20th century, founder of beatnik and a key representative of the beat generation along with D. Kerouac and W. Burroughs. Author of the famous poem "Howl" (Eng. Howl, 1956). Participated in the work on the novel by William S. Burroughs "Junky". He had a significant impact on the counterculture of the 1960s.
